Cooking Italian Sausage - Sealing In The Juices For tasty Flavor

Italian sausage is made of pork and regularly contains anise or fennel. There must be less than 35% fat and more than 85% meat. It can be hot, sweet (which is often flavored with basil) or mild and is regularly grilled and enjoyed with vegetables. There is also kielbasa, which is white, and this comes raw and unsmoked. It is boiled or cooked and similar in flavor to the Italian variety.

Italian sausage needs to be kept in the refrigerator until you need it and then you should prick it a few times using a fork before cooking, else the sausages might explode in the heat. Cook them until the internal temperature is 160 degrees F to ensure they are safe to eat. This ingredient should be pink and fleshy without sliminess or odor.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

The best way to seal in the juices is to make sure the sausages do not cook for too long. They do have to be 160 degrees F inside but you can select from assorted cooking methods. Either cook them dry and fast or cook them gradually in liquid for the best results.

Different Cooking Methods

Grilling is a great way to cook this ingredient and you can put them in a pot with water, chicken bouillon granules, beer, and a bay leaf and bring the mixture to a simmer. Once the water starts to simmer replacement the sausages to the grill and cook them for a incorporate of minutes per side or until they are done.

If you want to bake them, you can cut them in half lengthwise when they are freezing (or when thawed but this is trickier), then pierce them and brown them on each side. Put them in a dish with marinara sauce and some grated mozzarella, then bake for twenty minutes at 375 degrees F or until they are cooked through. Sprinkle parsley over the top and serve.

You can braise Italian sausages in a crockpot too. Put a pound of halved links in a crockpot with quarter of a cup of sherry, a tablespoon of soy sauce, two cups of beer or water, a bay leaf and two cloves of garlic in your crockpot, then cook on high for two hours. Turn the heat down to low and cook them until they are done.

To braise them, saute them in an ovenproof pot or skillet, and then add a sliced fennel bulb, a sliced onion, and a bay leaf. Use half a cup each of chicken broth and red wine to deglaze the pot, then cover it and bake for half an hour at 375 degrees F or until the sausages are done.

If you prefer to fry your Italian sausages, prick them and cut them in half. Fry them in hot oil for about five minutes or until they are golden brown, then drain them on paper towels and serve with cheese, onions, bacon, and whatever else you like, on hoagie rolls or hot dog buns.

Barbados is known to the face world as the home of Mount Gay rum, perfect capability sugar, and the national dish, flying fish. Easy Homemade Dog Treats

Many dog owners make easy homemade dog treats as a way to show their dog love or to use as an incentive while training.

Dog treats made in your kitchen can range from simple to elaborate. Some wish only a exiguous or so using raw, prepackaged or leftover cooked foods and minimal ingredients, while others involve establishment and mixing some ingredients, then cooking or baking them.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

Let's start with the simplest treats first, ones that consist of only ingredient.

Meat-based treats

Hot dogs or salami sausages that are cut into small pieces make very easy homemade dog treats. If you are condition conscious, then look for the organic kind with low sodium. They are especially good for putting in a plastic baggie and doling out while training. Frozen raw chicken wings can serve as singular treats for larger dogs. They are also good for helping keep a dog's teeth clean. (Raw chicken bones appear to be okay for dogs to eat; it's the cooked kind that can splinter and cause problems). Raw beef marrow or oxtail bones are also a good treat that help keep plaque off teeth. Bones range in size from about two to four inches in diameter so they can be fed to any size dog. Leftover cooked meats can be cut up and fed as well and can also be good for training purposes. Our German Shepherd mix, Comet, often gets pieces of jerky when we go hiking. It's tough retention his nose out of our backpacks when we sit down!
Fruit or vegetable-based

You can pretty much call these Free homemade dog treats since your dog is likely to only eat a small portion.

Slices of fruit and singular berries are items you might like to try with your dog. Comet enjoys apple slices on most days and will sometimes eat pieces of banana, mango, melon, orange, peach or lap up strawberries, blackberries and blueberries. Be meticulous with grapes and raisins as too many at once can lead to kidney failure. Spoonfuls of cooked yam, green beans, peas, lentils, spinach, carrot, potato or squash are often appreciated. Reconsider saving some of these vegetables after a meal so that they can offer your dog a healthy treat the next day. Be sure to mash them up first.
Dairy or egg based

Dollops of yogurt, cottage cheese, cream cheese or sour cream often go over well, as do slices of all different types of cheeses. Pieces of cooked eggs or a very occasional raw egg can also be used to let your dog think he or she is getting something special. A plus is that eggs help a dog's skin and coat.
Simple combinations

An easy homemade dog treats recipe is to couple any item that forms a spread with some of the above.

For example, you can put peanut butter or cream cheese on any of the fruit items. Also Reconsider adding liverwurst or salad dressing (just enough to furnish flavor) to fruit, sliced cheese, hardboiled eggs, or pieces of meat. I would suggest sugar-free and sodium-free peanut butter if possible.

Although you can feed dogs things such as bread, crackers, whole kernel corn, rice and pasta, it is best only to feed these in very small amounts since their digestive theory is not designed to deal with carbohydrates. Also, if your dog eats a kibble-based diet, she/he will most likely be receiving more than enough from that food group already. Someone else qoute with some of these foodstuffs is that they tend to stick to teeth and conduce to dental problems if you do not brush your dog's teeth afterwards.

Well, those are some of my ideas for easy homemade dog treats. If your dog is not used to eating a singular type of food, try him/her with a very small whole first to make sure there are no allergies.

Use of Hot Dog Grills and Popcorn Machines

Popcorn Machines

Almost everybody loves hot, buttery popcorn, right out of the machine. There's even that extra movie popcorn flavor that you just can't get at home. Fantasize being able to offer that to your customers. Of course, your enterprise will dictate whether or not a popcorn engine is a good selection for you. While a hot bag of popcorn can be a great selection while you're walking through the toy store, department store, or at an outdoor facility, it's not always suitable for customers who need to keep their hands clean and free.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

But more places can be good opportunities for popcorn machines than you might think. Put one by the entrance and payment a small fee for fresh bagged popcorn. The smell will get those stomachs rumbling and the profit margin from popcorn is one of the top around. The preliminary speculation for the engine isn't all that high, and your popcorn engine will pay for itself pretty quickly.

The most coarse machines on the store run on power from a appropriate outlet. Popcorn machines from Anvil, one of the biggest manufacturers, are about twenty inches by sixteen and a half by twenty-seven, and weigh colse to fifty pounds. They highlight a fully stainless steel interior, and toughened glass to allow you to see the goods without worry the windows will break. A heater and warming light keep popcorn warm and fresh, and the lowest plate and tray are removable. That makes the whole engine easy to keep clean and sanitary.

Every good popcorn engine should come with a serving scoop, and have kettle and heating elements that have their own temperature limit switches. This prevents overheating. Look for nonstick kettles that are easy to load and unload - a hinge down highlight can help. Fast food stores, concessions, cafeterias, and all kinds of other businesses can benefit from a popcorn maker.

Hot Dog Grills

A hot dog grill is other excellent choice. These can cook hot dogs and other sausages attractively, and add a lot of the same benefits of a popcorn machine. However, they offer a more colossal meal to customers. You can choose from five, seven, and nine roller grills to yield everywhere from twelve to twenty-four hot dogs at once. That allows you to pick the hot dog grill that's going to be right for your situation. Larger businesses won't want to deal with an overly small hot dog grill, and smaller ones won't want to waste electricity or food.

Like popcorn machines, the majority of hot dog grills control on power from a wall outlet. Smaller grills are about twenty-three inches by ten inches by ten inches, but the larger ones can be up to twenty-three by sixteen by ten inches. Remember to check the available space before you order your hot dog grill.

A good grill will have rotating rollers to forestall fat and sausage residue from building up, and a movable drip pan that's easy to clean. They should also highlight variable temperature control. After all, it's a lot easier to make hot dogs well if you can dictate separate temperatures for the front and rear of the grill.

If you run a food connected business, it might be time to think about adding a popcorn engine or hot dog grill. These simple, easy to declare machines are inexpensive to operate, but offer a lot of possibilities. Check out the options from Anvil or other manufacturers to see if they have the engine you've been waiting for. A new popcorn engine or grill might change your business.

Monosodium Glutamate Msg - A Neurotoxin Or A safe Food Flavor Enhancer?

Msgs protection for human consumption has been widely debated for well over 50 years. Some habitancy are highly sensitive to it, while others appear not to be, and still yet, others may be and not even know they are.

Manufactured/processed monosodium glutamate is the substance in query that causes the most reactions in Msg sensitive people. So what is Msg exactly?

HOT DOG FLAVORED

It is the sodium salt of the amino acid known as glutamic acid, and a form of glutamate. Glutamate occurs naturally and is found in many living things, along with you. It is found in protein-containing foods such as cheese, milk, meat, vegetables, and spores (mushrooms).

When it is found in its natural unbound (unprocessed) form, and is not subjected to some sort of manufactured or fermented process, is not harmful for human or animal consumption. All forms of manufactured /processed glutamic acid contains contaminants, while the naturally occurring substance in nature does not.

Although most habitancy associate Msg with Chinese food, few habitancy comprehend how massively it is used in the processed food industry. It is gift in nearly every food that is manufactured. Considering how cheap and convenient it is, food manufacturers love it because they can get away with reducing the whole of real food substances by substituting with cheap fillers, add some Msg to get a 'morphine like' taste punch to the food product. It also intensifies the eating feel in not only improving the flavor of the food, but it alters color and odor of the food as well.

The lowest line, it saves them a lot of money, it allows them to sell you an inferior food product.

Msg has no nutritional value whatsoever. Like sugar, it stimulates your taste buds, development you desire the taste so much you will keep on buying the product and keep eating it. Msg changes your perception of how a food tastes. Many experts in the field of learning its harmful effects claim that it stimulates parts of the brain to furnish an addiction in much the same way as alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs do.

In other words, Msg is addictive. So, even if you do not drink alcohol or smoke, eating a lot of processed food is just as addictive as drugs, in essence your trading the satisfaction of drugs for this addictive substance in the food you eat.

Food manufacturers are no dummies, they know they have the Fda on their side, and they know using Msg will ensure repeat customers for them.

So, what is all the fuss about when it comes to the over use of Msg, and another closely connected substance called Apartame (NutriSweet)?

In assuredly hundreds of diet studies done around the world, scientists can create, and replicate the inducing of obesity in laboratory animals. Mice and rats can be made obese, without expanding their food intake by giving them Msg. Agreeing to John Erb, author of "The Slow Poisoning of America", there currently may assuredly be a chemical responsible for America's obesity and diabetic epidemic, and that chemical might just be Msg.

It has been scientifically connected to obesity over and over, and has been connected to irregular and rapid heartbeat, stomach problems, depression, fatigue, and brain problems. This is only a short list, there are many others to numerous to mention in this article.

Even knowing that most people, if given a choice, do not want Msg added to their food will not stop them from putting it in anyway. Manufacturers are on to the fact that consumers are scrutinizing food labels. They have taken on great deception practices to continue its use in food products by not directly labeling Msg as Msg. It is often private in names such as gelatin, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, yeast extract, malted barley, and rice or brown rice syrup.

The list of names is rather long and extensive. You can find out more by reading John Erb's book, or type in the hunt terms neurotoxin-Msg on a hunt motor to learn more private names on labels disguised as Msg.

I assuredly do not believe this is a conspiracy by corporate food associates to keep us sick, although some may argue with that way of thinking. I believe it is more connected to corporate greed than anything else. Greed in holding millions of dollars flowing through corporate bank accounts. Can you envision a long and complicated money trail that benefits any industries also the manufactured food business?

Another specialist in the the health damaging effects of Msg saga, is Dr. Russell Blaylock. He is the author of "Exitotoxins: The Taste That Kills". Dr. Blaylock says, "Msg basically overexcites your body cells, it over stimulates them to the point of damaging them., acting as a poison".

Avoiding Msg altogether is going to be real hard to do, but not impossible. It could take up quite a bit of your time if you let it, and until it is banned or taken out of our food provide what can you do to avoid its harmful effects?

Cooking from scratch and starting with whole foods is one way of cutting down on getting too much of this unhealthy substance. another way to keep manufactured/ processed free glutamic acid from binding to cell receptors, is to eat a diet high in raw (or lightly cooked) dark colored fruits and vegetables. They are loaded with antioxidants and are one of your best defenses against a build up of this toxic poison in your body.

And, even though I have not read this specifically, I think I would be rather safe in recommending it, an an increased water intake would be highly productive also. By drinking your body's daily requirement of water will help you immensely in the flushing out process of Msg in your system.

Not to mention also, that the mixture of expanding your fruit, vegetable, and water intake will go a long way in reducing many other major or minor health complaints you may currently have.

This clarification is assuredly beneficial in so many ways, you may just find it nothing short of incredible! You can also refuse to buy a lot of foods that consist of Msg. That is only the real message food manufacturers will understand in the long run.

Indoor Grilling at Its Best

It seems that even though we all have good intentions about getting exterior as much as we can during the summer months, sometimes it just doesn't happen. Do you ever feel that you don't have the time to surely enjoy all, or any of the wonderful summer activities that you experienced in your youth? One of the most cherished memories I have from the summers of my youth is grilling exterior and enjoying a nice burnt hot dog. That's right, I said, "Burnt". That is the fun of a grilled hot dog, chomping into something that is charred, a microscopic dry and full of that grilling flavor. In the house, sure, you can burn your hot dogs in a frying pan if you pick to, or stick it in the microwave and eat a rubberized hot dog, or the other alternative is that you can buy an indoor grill. Although, with an indoor grill you won't get the authentic flavor of an outdoor grill, at least you are still able to grill. There are many galvanic grills out there in the marketplace to pick from. I myself have a George Foreman Grill and I just surely love it!

Cooking with an indoor grill may not replace the outdoor fun of barbecuing on a big grill, but it sure comes in handy when you have no other alternative. You can grill just about any type of meat on an indoor grill that you can on an outdoor one. You can grill steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, kabobs, fish, vegetables; you name it! You can even cook up a Panini or other grilled sandwiches in no time at all!

HOT DOG FLAVORED

When purchasing an indoor grill, here are some tips on what to look for. Some of these units are open grills that will allow you to cook in a similar way as an outdoor grill. Sanyo makes a nonstick smokeless, open grill that has a large cooking surface, which sells for nearby .00 (depending on the size of the grill). Others are called touch grills (like the George Foreman Grill) that have a lid that heats up and cooks as well as the bottom plate, so that you are able to grill on both sides at the same time. Before development your purchase, think about how many habitancy you will be cooking for. If you are just cooking for yourself, you can buy one of the smaller grills, but if you have a medium to large size family, you might want to think looking a grill that has a larger cooking surface. Keep in mind though, that these grills heat up fast, cook the food very quickly, so that you are able to continuously reload the cooking exterior in a minimal whole of time. Someone else thing to watch for is that the cooking plates on the grill are easy to take off for cleaning. All grills should come with a drip pan to catch the grease and forestall a mess on your counter top.

Just remember that you don't all the time have to do things the original way in order to get enjoyment out of a grilled meal. Besides, cooking on an indoor grill is an easier, faster and healthier way to grill your food!

Rolled Fondant - The Hot New American Cake Icing

Rolled fondant is a dense smooth white sugar mass, comparable to a pie dough used for decorating cakes. Rolled Fondant can be rolled and draped over a cake. Fondant may be used as a modeling paste or to form wedding cakes and fondant cakes for all occasions. If you coat or spray the bowl and hook with a vegetable shortening this will put a stop to the icing from sticking and allow trouble-free discharge of product once mixed. Mix on slow speed for 1-2 minutes, kneading the icing to a smooth even uniformity. Color or flavor may be added prior blending. Of course, you can kneed the dough by hand if you do not have a mixer. The adding of extra gum will make the icing more extendable, and will also trigger the product to dry faster. Ready-made Gum Paste (gumpaste) is available for this purpose and is perfect for the yield of sugar flowers and more. Gum Paste flowers can also be made well in expand of use.

Regular atmosphere climatic characteristic changes may necessitate the icing to be softened or made a slight stiffer. If you sense the need to stiffen the product, knead into the dough a slight powdered sugar. The increasing of a merge drops of glycerin to the fondant will soften the icing while the colder winter months, however once the product is stored at room climatic characteristic no add-ins or product changes should be needed.

Any time your Rolled Fondant remains exposed to the air it will dehydrate, therefore it is very valuable that the storehouse of it is proper. I propose storing it in the primary pail after use. Your covered cakes can be refrigerated and/or frozen. When doing so the cake should be kept covered or packaged, as refrigerated units often have elevated humidity which may trigger water condensation on top of the cake surface.

This is a great tool approximately settle how much fondant you will need to properly cover a cake. - Cake Diameter 6" Net Weight Required 10 oz. - Cake Diameter 8" Net Weight Required 12 oz. - Cake Diameter 10" Net Weight Required 18 oz. - Cake Diameter 12" Net Weight Required 24 oz. - Cake Diameter 14" Net Weight Required 48 oz.

Here are the typical ingredients for white/vanilla Rolled Fondant. Each constructor is distinct so do not take the following as exact fact. Sugar, corn syrup, palm oil, flavorings, gum tragacanth, titanium dioxide glycerine, cellulose, corn starch, potassium sorbate, acetic acid. The majority are also man-made with Zero grams Trans Fats, Zero grams Cholesterol, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free, and containing no animal-derived ingredients. Verify each label to make positive it is Certified Kosher.

Beautiful creations ready with Rolled Fondant have become progressively more popular with buyer and are extremely rewarding to the baker. Some of the well known and predominant cake designers and sugar artists use Rolled Fondant and Gum Paste. The finest cake shops, bakeries and patisseries use Rolled Fondant and Gum Paste products to accomplish their works of edible art.

There is one brand of Rolled Fondant man-made in the United States. The name of this firm is Satin Fine Foods. Their products are made with the flavor of Americans kept in mind. Their signature flavor is unmatched. In my plan it has perfect elasticity/flexibility when rolled out, unproblematic to deal with and seemingly unbreakable. The satin-fine texture allows it to be rolled awfully thin. The product is certified Kosher Pareve.

After modeling the decorations, your pieces will dry just as you planned for. A high-quality Rolled Fondant will not over dry and crack. A high-quality Rolled Fondant seals the cake, keeping it moist and fresh while also increasing the shelf life of the cake. The completed cake may be refrigerated or icy as soon as it is covered.

To discontinue I want to survey growing your behalf margins with usage of Rolled Fondant. How to prepare for Your New Puppy

One of the most captivating events for a family or an individual is bringing home a new puppy. Unfortunately, many citizen don't compose themselves or their home for the new arrival. There are any things that can be done to make your puppy's first few hours in its new home pleasant and enjoyable. Most of the activities are very simple and will just want a few minutes of time and attentiveness to complete.

Having the right supplies

HOT DOG FLAVORED

The following items should be purchased and set up prior to the puppy's or puppies' arrival:

* Stainless steel or rigid plastic non-tip food and water bowls

* Crate of the accepted size

* Soft, washable bedding for inside the crate

* variety of chew toys and play toys

* Leash or lead and collar of the accepted size

* Food that is the same as the puppy or puppies are currently being fed (same brand, flavor, etc)

In addition, depending on your house or puppy room area, you may also need to get some baby gates to consist of the puppy in a exact room or to preclude them from going up or down stairs.

Safety considerations

Puppies are a lot like small children: they will want to investigate everything. Puppies learn by chewing and mouthing as much as they learn by looking and smelling. By spending a bit of time puppy-proofing your home you can be assured that your puppy will be safe. The following are puppy-proofing tips:

* take off all electrical cords from the puppies' reach. This means that they may have to be disconnected from the wall and the appliance moved. Puppies may chew on the cord whether at the wall or the appliance end so it is easiest to take off the appliance to safe the cord and keep the puppy safe if the wire is plugged in.

* take off or pull up all hanging items such as tablecloths, floor distance curtains, curtain or blind pulls, hanging plants or other items that dangle temptingly in the puppies' reach. Curtain and blind pulls are especially dangerous as they can genuinely become wrapped nearby the puppies' neck.

* take off all houseplants. Many coarse houseplants are poisonous to dogs. Unless you know for sure that the plant is not poisonous take off it from the room. Most puppies will simply chew on plants, so if you want the plant to remain intact removing it's the best idea.

* take off all shoes, backpacks, leather items, remote controls, cordless phones, children's toys, stuffed animals, throw pillows or anyone else that could potentially be fun to play with.

Remember that while puppies are very energetic, you don't need to puppy proof the whole house, just the rooms that he or she will be in unsupervised. Crate training is a great way to minimize the amount of puppy proofing that needs to occur to keep your new advent safe and healthy.

Be sure that the puppy is allowed to settle into the area and that they're given accepted times to go outside to relax themselves. Puppies usually will need to go outside at least every three hours, and usually within 20 minutes of eating or drinking. After napping or after playing they'll also need to be taken outside. By allowing lots of trips outside and genuinely praising them for relieving themselves in the right area, you'll find that housetraining is not difficult.

Special care for puppies involves a lot of prevention. Be sure to get down on the floor and look nearby at what might be fun for a puppy to chew on or might pose a safety hazard. production Spicy Chai Indian Style Tea at Home

Having worked for many years in the technology sector with many fine citizen of east Indian legacy and/or origin, I not only industrialized a taste for spicy hot curries and full, Indian cuisine, but also for a type of spiced tea which has become popularized in the West over the last decade or so. This is "spiced chai", or "chai tea". What is amusing is that "chai" is the name for tea. So the phrase "chai tea" is actually just a repetition in two languages. What is spiced chai? It is when you mix together strong black Indian teas with a spice blend called "tea masala". Tea masala popularly contains ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, and clove. Mint leaves can optionally be added into the mix for a pleasant flavor variation.

This is not meant to b e a recipe so I will not state amounts. I rarely work from recipes. It is more fun to just experiment. What you should do to make a proper sort of spiced chai is to get some loose Ctc cut Indian tea from an Indian store or online. Beloved Indian brands are Wagh Bakri, Taj Mahal, Lipton Red or Yellow Label (the Indian versions Not the American Lipton, which is a weak American blend unrelated to the Indian brands), or any other strong Assam black tea that you can find. The Ctc type of tea looks like dinky tiny balls. They are basically a "cut tear curl" cut of tea which infuses very well into water, making a strong black solution. Take a few cups of water and boil in a pot.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

Put in any teaspoons of this Ctc or other strong black tea and let it simmer for a few minutes with a spoon of the chai spice blend, the tea masala mentioned earlier. Let the tea and the spices mix in a slow simmer for about 5 minutes. You can now add milk (enough to lighten to a nice creamy muddy color) and turn up the heat until it hits a boil, then back off and simmer for a few minutes. You can either add sugar or sweetener to the whole batch or by the cup. This is a drink meant to be sweetened. If you do not want sugar or are diabetic, you can use artificial or other sweetener.

I prefer stevia but xylitol also works well. (xylitol can be fatal to dogs - not that you would give the chai to a dog but I mention it anyway) Now you can use a strainer to catch the loose tea leaves when you pour the hot spicy brew into cups, or a tea kettle, for serving. Indian citizen use fancy tea brewers for this whole process. If you desire strict amounts, you can actually find them online straight through any of the major crusade engines.

Spicy chai is a refreshing and lovely spiced tea drink. In India they have roadside tea stalls and vendors that sell it by the cup. Using a proper spice mix (or your own milling of the listed spices) and a good capability strong Indian Assam tea is the way to go. Do not use the pre spiced bags of tea except in dire situations when you cannot do better, like if you are at work. Tea is a wholesome drink and the spices in spiced chai are very wholesome for digestion and full, well being.

Cinnamon alone is great for holding blood sugar levels in check, especially if you sweeten your chair with stevia or other non sugar sweetener. Strong Assam tea contains many more antioxidant properties than weak market tea that many the in the West and in America think of when they think of tea. Many citizen who claim to dislike tea just never had whatever except the pathetically flavor lacking types they find in the local supermarket. A good capability black tea should look at dark as fresh brewed coffee when wholly steeped in water.

Spicy chai can open up other world of flavor sensation, and it can be as satisfying to the taste buds as an entire meal, without the fat of a full meal. Get yourself some tea masala and some Assam black tea and try it for yourself. You won't be sorry.

Side Dishes For Chili

Chili is one of those great dishes that can be served in tons of different ways and goes good with many tasty side dishes. But if you're mental about serving chili the next time you have friends over for dinner or to watch the big game or when the weather starts getting cooler, here are some great ideas you might want to use.

Making Your Chili Even Better

HOT DOG FLAVORED

Even if you already make the best chili on your block or at your tailgate parties, you could spice it up with some toppings. Of course, you'll find some of the former items on the list: shredded cheeses, sour cream, oyster crackers or crumbled tortilla shells (choose the ones with a hint of lime for an nice touch), saltine crackers, or even hot sauce.

But those are a minute bit basic. If you're talking about advanced chili topping for the chili connoisseur, then you'll want to shop around in your furnish agency or farmer's market. Adding scallions, green onions, cilantro, or avocado can give your chili a minute color and extra taste. A dollop of guacamole instead of sour cream (or with sour cream) can also be scrumptious, especially if you make it homemade. Jalapenos are also nice for a kick and should be added by the personel consumers of the chili - not everybody likes the spice. Red onion or salsa can be nice additions, too.

Not Just for Bowls

Chili isn't soup so it doesn't have to be served alone in a bowl with a spoon. Instead, get creative with how you serve this dish. You can use Fritos for dipping or pour the chili on top of a baked potato, French fries, pasta (some population even add spaghetti or macaroni pasta to their chili), rice, taco shells, hamburgers or hot dogs, cornbread, or even scrambled eggs.

Chili goes good with almost any food but make sure to account for the possible messiness. Always have extra napkins.

Great Side Dishes

When you're serving chili, it's surely hearty enough to be a main dish. And while some population like to eat their chili by itself, having some complementary side dishes can heighten the dish's flavor immensely. Cornbread is a tasty and former expanding to chili. If you're trying to give your meal a Tex-Mex flavor, you could make Mexican cornbread with peppers, some shredded Colby/Jack cheese, and some kernel corn or if you want to make it spicier you can cut up pieces of jalapeno to add into the cornbread mix.

Black bean and corn salad is someone else choice. The salad, which is served cold or at room temperature, includes black beans, cubed cheeses, roasted corn, green onions, bell peppers, picante sauce, herbs, olive oil, and a few other tasty items. You can also toss in other items you love, such as avocados.

Another idea is a Southwest Vegetable salad that includes lettuce, colorful red peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and some toasted pumpkin seeds. This dish has just as much color as flavor and has a very tasty flavor especially when enjoyed along with a bowl of chili.

Buy Killer Catfishing Bait at the Grocery Store and Forget Nasty Catfish Chum

There's no need to make a extra trip to the bait shop or punish your nose with the smell of catfish chum! Unless, of course, you just want to stop by and see how ol' Fred's doin'. When you're in the grocery store to stock up on beer and cheese for your catfish outing, grab some bait while you're at it.

For starters, pick up some Spam. That's right, the canned meat that gave junk e-mail a bad name. You've probably heard of this as an productive catfish bait. Just cut it into cubes. This is how Charles Ashley, Jr. Of Arkansas caught his record-breaking 116-pound blue cat in 2001. His grandfather and father used it, and he had no idea people used anyone else to catch catfish. His record-breaking catch caused a Spam shortage in east Arkansas and west Tennessee for a few months.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

Next, make a trip to the seafood department. Get some fresh or frosty shrimp. Channel cats, blue cats and flatheads up to about 10 pounds love 'em. To put shrimp on the hook, start head first and leave the tip of the hook sticking out of the shrimp's tail.

While you're there, see if they have any squid. Non-cleaned is best. Use half a squid per hook. This is a good bait to use in winter, when it's difficult to find live bait. Smoked salmon and salmon eggs are effective, too.

When you're in the meat department, pick up some bacon, chicken livers, pork chops, hot dogs, bologna and salami. Hickory smoked bacon works best. Hot dogs are also quite tasty to catfish. But they like turkey or chicken hot dogs best--not your usual beef hot dogs. Some anglers use raw ground beef meatballs. I prefer to use fresh meats, as opposed to rotting catfish chum.

Pick up some extra cheese just for the catfish. They'll love you for it. You might try a smelly cheese such as Limburger. But even plain ol' Velveeta, American or sharp cheddar works well, too.

Don't forget to pick up some bread. You'll want to get white bread. Remember when you were a kid and you'd tear off the crust and roll the town in a dough ball and eat it? Catfish like those white bread dough balls, too! Some anglers have caught great cats by rolling an whole loaf into a giant dough ball. Of procedure no meal would be perfect without vegetables. Even catfish eat their veggies--corn and peas, to be exact.

And be sure to make a trip down the pet food aisle. Catfish will gobble dog food. Rumor has it the brands Tender Chunks and Kibbles -n- Bits work best. Your best companion Spot might get jealous, though! And cat food will attract catfish, too. Just get the cheap canned type.

And grab some Ivory soap. No, not for cleaning off that fishy smell after you get home, for the fish! No kidding. Just bait your trotline with chunks of it or thread smaller pieces on your hook. The trick about Ivory's effectiveness is that it's pure--no perfumes or chemicals.

When you arrive at the checkout lane, be sure to grab a incorporate packages of bubble gum. Bubble Yum, double Bubble and Bazooka have caught catfish. If you buy old-fashioned Bazooka, you can enjoy the comic, too! Chew the gum just a itsybitsy to soften it for attaching to your hook--but don't suck out all the flavor! The cashier will probably never guess that you're going fishing! Your spouse will also appreciate that you don't come home smelling like nasty catfish chum.

Food security Tips

Three Main Rules for Food Safety:

o Keeping all clean in the kitchen area

HOT DOG FLAVORED

o Keeping cold foods cold

o Keeping hot foods hot

Beware of incommunicable dangers:

o Spoiled Food

o Food Poisoning

Spoiled food is easy to spot since it usually looks and smells bad, but food poisoning is other story. Food poisoning is a bacteria that cannot be tasted, seen, or smelled. The following points will help keep a someone safe:

o Always use paper towels when working with, or cleaning up after raw meat and even vegetables. Vegetables maybe shipped from other countries and some of their safety standards are not as accurate as the United States.

o Keep pets out of the kitchen while cooking, especially if they are commonly outdoor animals.

o Keep kitchen linen's washed usually since bacteria tends to hang out in sponges, towels and cloths that are used over and over. Throw out dirty or mildewed dish sponges or clean in dishwasher.

Your clean kitchen:

o Clean with soap, that says "antibacterial".

o Wash hands with "antibacterial soap".

o Always wash hands, utensils or anyone that raw meat or vegetables were around.

o Cover any skin cut or opening with bandage or gloves or protective plastic of some kind.

o Any cutting boards other than wood are the safest for cutting raw foods on because they are less porous than wooden boards.

o Do not mix raw meat with cooked meat because this could replacement bacteria. For example, do not take raw hamburger out to the grill to cook and put cooked ones back on the same plate.

Hot Foods

o Bacteria will thrive at room climatic characteristic or in lukewarm food, so do not allow hot foods to be at room climatic characteristic for more than two hours; to keep hot foods hot that means keep it above 140° or higher.

o Never partially cook or heat perishable foods because while cooking, the food may not reach a climatic characteristic high sufficient to destroy bacteria.

o It is requisite to roast meat or poultry at 325° or above.

o When reheating leftovers; stir often until steaming hot at 165°. If there are, any doubts about leftover foods throw it away because it is not worth getting sick over.

Cold Foods

o Since bacteria can thrive at room climatic characteristic then it can grow in foods that are suppose to be cold as well, so the same rule applies don't leave out for more than 2 hours at a time.

o Always take perishables foods home and refrigerate immediately.

o Foods chill faster when space is allowed in the middle of them when stocking refrigerator and freezer. In addition, divide into smaller amounts in shallow containers helps to chill faster.

o It is a good idea to buy a refrigerator thermometer to make sure your refrigerator is cooling at 35° to 40°. In addition, use a freezer thermometer to check that your freezer is staying at 0° or colder. If the power goes out do not open the doors. Food will be good for up to four hours and maybe a tiny longer depending on the circumstances.

o You should not thaw foods at room temperature, but if you do cook immediately at the accurate temperatures. The same thing applies if you thaw foods in the microwave.

How to Make Chicago Style Hot Dogs

Growing up in the Chicagoland area makes me quite partial to the taste of Chicago style hot dogs. If you ever visit Chicago, be sure to try Portillos or Byron's. They have become part of the culture in Chicago by serving hotdogs the way you like them.

My beloved is the original Chicago style hot dog. No matter if the birthday is to celebrate a child or adult's special day, serving Chicago-style hotdogs will become a favorite.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

For about per hotdog (bun, wiener, toppings), you can cater a birthday party for about per person plus chips and drinks. By development the hot dogs a culinary event in its presentation, the party right on will be enjoyed by everyone.

The ingredients listed below are what you need to generate a Chicago hot dog, but I have listed alternate options in parentheses as well.

Poppyseed hot dog buns (get plain too just in case you have guests that don't care for poppyseeds)

Well spiced wieners (I prefer Vienna beef hot dogs)

Chicago Hot Dog Toppings:

o Mustard
o Catsup
o Sweet relish
o Chopped white onions (I like vidalya onions grilled but raw is Ok too.)
o Chopped green pepper (or thin slices)
o Hot peppers
o Dill pickle slices
o Cucumber slices (yep you read that right)
o Chopped tomatoes
o Shredded lettuce (Yes! I'm serious)
o Celery salt (I like a lot of this)

Serve these toppings along a long table in separate dishes. It will look festive and it will be easy for guests to generate their own.

I recently spent some time in New York City and went to Nathan's a hot dog restaurant. I asked for a New York hotdog, and I authentically like it too. Not as much as the Chicago-style but that's because I was brought up eating those.

If you want to offer New York toppings, you can have distinct table stations with puny method cards so that habitancy know how to make a Chicago and a New York hot dog.

Toppings for a Nyc hot dog include:
o Mustard
o Sauerkraut
o Sweet onions (optional)

If you authentically want to go all out, reconsider offering Chili dogs too by development some homemade Chili.

Best in Show - 2 Stars (Average)

Director Christopher Guest teamed with Eugene Levy as writers for "Best in Show" that looks at the funnier side of the legendary Westminster Kennel Club's yearly competition, otherwise known as a prestigious dog show.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

Premiere voted the consequent as one of "The 50 most Comedies of All Time" in 2006. Premiere, an American and New York City-based film magazine, was published from 1987 to 2007 before becoming an online-only publication.

Best in Show uses a camera crew to consequent the foibles and fortunes of the owners (and handlers) of five show dogs headed for the yearly Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show in Philadelphia.

Traveling from Florida is Cookie Fleck (Catherine O'Hara) and Gerry Fleck (played by film writer Eugene Levy). Gerry authentically has two left feet and Cookie apparently bedded hundreds of men on her way to marrying Gerry.

She meets many of her old lovers in the film, aggravating her bumpkin husband to no end. Cookie was "hot" and apparently very available.

Coming from North Carolina is Harlan Pepper (played by director and writer Christopher Guest, the real-life husband of Jamie Lee Curtis, a marriage that has lasted since 1984). Pepper owns a fly-fishing shop and is enamored with his Bloodhound "Hubert".

Shari Cabot (Jennifer Coolidge) is a voluptuous, wealthy blond bimbo and gold-digger married to Leslie Cabot (Patrick Cranshaw). Shari owns Rhapsody in White, a perfectly manicured poodle who is the two-time defending Best in Show champion.

Her husband Leslie says not a word in the film, appears dead, embalmed and strapped to a wheelchair. Shari is not only enamored with her poodle but also with her handler Christy Cummings (Jane Lynch). Christy and Shari are in more heat than any masculine, salutary dog could muster.

Coming from who knows where with their entry are Stefan Vanderhoof (Michael McKean) and Scott Donlan (John Michael Higgins), an outgoing, outrageous, stereotypical gay couple.

These four entrants are joined by Meg Swan (Parker Posey) and Hamilton Swan (Michael Hitchcock). The Swans are anything but graceful, quiet and gorgeous to be around.

They are Dinks (double income, no kids) who permanently scream at each other throughout the film, raising their invective to an art form. Meg and Hamilton are so up tight it is a wonder they can even relieve themselves at suitable times.

Despite being a comedy, the behavior of the Swans in Best of Show is so well done and lifelike that their tirade ceases to be funny and becomes disturbing. Neither Posey or Hitchcock received an acting award for their performances, but I could not fault them for their effort.

Two more notable performances in this film come from Buck Laughlin (Fred Willard) as the "color commentator" at the prestigious competition, and from Mark Schaefer (Ed Begley, Jr., practically my namesake) as boss of the Taft Hotel that put up with the dog show owners in Philly.

Fred Willard's criticism in this film lives on; it is used occasionally by sports talk radio hosts Groz and Gas as a humor segment on the most favorite sports talk hub in the country, Kjr 950 in Seattle.

Despite its rating as one of The 50 most Comedies of All Time by Premiere magazine, Best in Show comes up short on the awards end. It earned a Golden Globe nomination as Best Comedy and a few lesser awards.

Best in Show earned only million at the box office, perhaps because of its slow start. It opened the 1st week at only 13 theaters nationally, moved to 53 theaters its 2nd week, 291 its 3rd week and ultimately broke though with 497 theaters its 4th week, topping million before dying off after 12 weeks.

Best in Show is referred to as a "mockumentary", a word that does not appear in The New Oxford American Dictionary (my personal word bible). One might call Best in Show a parody of a documentary with humor as the centerpiece. It is good for some laughs.

New Summer Carp Baits - Hot Weather Opportunities and Risks

How can you easily get the best carp fishing results when things easily hot up? How many anglers have not yet savored the joy of summer carp fishing and all the great opportunities and experiences of great catches, that summer brings? Why miss out on the action!

Surface fishing is maybe your popular recipe of all. easily watching the movements of the fish you are about to hook is so exciting! The branch of surface bait silhouettes, shading and colors are interesting, as is the potential of your bait to move in as natural a way as inherent and confusion of the hook too.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

Plastic baits are ready flavored now and some can be made to glow in the dark too. It's not easily surprising that baits such as 'glowing' artificial corn can be as sufficient in day time as in the dark. When used in conjunction with other baits like pellets, boilies, particles etc to improve the carp's attentions they do demonstrate a proven edge. Plastic baits are great for simultaneously offsetting the weight of your hook, and changing the behaviour of your rig too.

Floating corn is fairly new to the scene in the Uk as is giant corn. Pink and white marshmallows are a good sweet alternatives. The range of multicoloured floating candies that can be exploited is amazing. For those of you more natural bait oriented air injected worms of dissimilar types, dipped in additives can easily work well, although the ethics may need considering here...

Using large quantities of floating maggots and casters on the surface as chum can be devastating and on waters where this has already been done, the flavoured bait sprays can be a great edge too.

Floating fish pellets of many types from pond sticks and pellets to floating salmon pellets etc, have always worked well. Using tiny floating pellets soaked in additives is someone else edge where appropriate sized dog biscuits have been over-used in the past. Just as with lowest baits, it pays to mix dissimilar sizes, colours, flavours, oil contents, weights etc together, to confuse your carp. Even spotting your own hook bait can be impossible when using this approach!

In very hot weather, adding cork or foam etc to float any sinking type bait, along with any boilie is good, especially if that boilie used is the dominant catching one that water at the time. Manufacture a homemade buoyant base mix and simply rolling it flat and chopping into small pieces, then air-drying these pieces is a great alternative. You can pack them full of your chosen attractors and go fishing highly inevitable indeed!

Feeding lots of these tiny bait pieces in your swim over a uncostly period of hours can make carp go crazy for sure, even better than using dog mixers on pressured waters... A competitively feeding big carp is easier to catch, but achieving manifold competitively feeding big carp in your swim is far better!

In highly hot summer conditions, do bear in mind conditions. Cover-up against the sun. Sun block is not enough, heat induced headaches and sun stroke and even dehydration are not pleasant while fishing! So if you're new to hot weather carp fishing, be ready to take abundance of water and equipment to make your own shade if needed. A 'bivvy' can turn from shade into a baking oven, leaving you nicely roasted and feeling quite ill in very hot conditions. Even that cool box of beer may not save you!

Please remember though, if you're hot, then any fish you land easily will be also. De-oxygenated water, touch with a hot carp mat (even when watered down) and easy stress from handling, can easily induce shock in more weakened fish. These may be spawn bound, or in post spawning recovery. Many spawn bound fish are likely to be very big, and very vulnerable and maybe some of the biggest residents of your water.

Especially at times directly after or in the middle of spawning, many big fish are very susceptible to being caught, being ravenous and vigor depleted. But they are most at risk of suffering from shock when caught and in the case of high density stocked very small waters with miniature shade, this can be lethal. Please be ready not to fish if this could be a risk! (If the forecast is 90 degrees maybe it's best to head for the beach and not that small market lake!)

Just as a side note, especially in the Uk, if you fish a small market lake with a high fish stocking with no oxygenating weed or pump and fish behaviour and catches indicate that severe de-oxygenation of the water is taking place, take action. Insist that a pump is installed and turned on. I fished one water where the pumps were not in use which led to an easily avoidable big fish death. (It's no good having 'emergency pumps' if they're not in use when obviously needed; it takes time to re-oxygenate a water!) So please make management responsible especially if the water has a report of fish wipe-outs due to de-oxygenation!

The author has many more fishing and bait 'edges' up his sleeve. Every singular one can have a huge impact on catches. (Warning: This report is protected by copyright.)

Interceptor For Dogs

Heartworm disease is becoming increasingly common. One of the most easy ways to ensure you dog never experiences the problems caused by this parasite is to use a monthly heartworm pill. Most heartworm pills use Ivermectin to destroy larval heartworms but Interceptor for Dogs uses Milbemycin oxime instead.

Milbemycin oxime is a stronger parasiticide which kills larval heartworms extremely quickly. Along with heartworms, hookworms, roundworms and whipworms are also destroyed. So with one stock you can supply all round security from internal parasites.

HOT DOG FLAVORED

Because Milbemycin oxime shows no sign of toxicity in any breeds of dog, it is the preferred method of heartworm prevention for owners of Collie type breeds. These dogs often have a genetic abnormality which makes them sensitive to high doses of ivermectin. Though heartworm pills comprise extremely low volumes of ivermectin which are said to be perfectly safe for all breeds, many collie owners feel safer not using such products 'just in case'. To stop sleepless nights for collie owners it is far more easy to pick instead to use Interceptor for dogs.

Interceptor heartworm pills are safe for all breeds of dog and for puppies from four weeks, weighing 2 lbs or more. Studies show that nursing and pregnant dogs may safely be treated with this heartworm preventative, but it is always best to double check with your vet before lasting any medications while pregnancy.

Prior to beginning any heartworm rehabilitation regime your dog should be checked for the disease by your vet. The manufacturers suggest year round use of Interceptor for dogs to certify prevention of heartworm disease. In some areas with low mosquito operation dog owners use such products seasonally, and then for a month or two after mosquito operation has ceased. If you are reasoning of such a policy check the heartworm incidence in your locality with your vet first.

SpongeBob SquarePants and World Peace

SpongeBob SquarePants is an American Television series about a sponge whose drive and outlook on life is one that makes the show an 11 year success story.

SpongeBob very seldom lets things get him down. SpongeBob always tries to find the good in every situation. Even when circumstances would drive an ordinary person mad, SpongeBob perseveres. He has been unable to pass his driving school test after hundreds of times, but still he continues.

WATER AND CHOCOLATE STARFISH

He works with Squidward Tentacles who is a trumpet player/artist wanna be who is unable to realize that he has no talent whatsoever. In one episode, he tries to teach SpongeBob art and SpongeBob does better than Squidward.

SpongeBob has a childlike innocence to his character. He is very trusting and kind, so he is unable to recognize it when people take advantage of him. Two of the worst are his own boss - Mr. Eugene Krabs - owner of the Krusty Krab where SpongeBob works and Plankton who is always trying to get SpongeBob to help him steal the Krabby Patty secret formula.

Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob's boss, is a mean, greedy miser, who would sell his own mother for a dime. In fact he once sold SpongeBob to the ghostly Flying Dutchman for several cents and constantly charges SpongeBob for things like tying his shoes and breathing.

Squidward resents SpongeBob because he is always happy and Squidward isn't. Squidward looks at the mediocrity of his life, seeing it isn't where he wants it to be.

Patrick Star is a large, stupid starfish. He is SpongeBob's best friend and the two meld together well. However, Patrick, starts a lot of arguments over things because he is forgetful. Such as the time he scarfed down a chocolate bar and then forgot it and blamed SpongeBob for taking his.

Sandy Cheeks is land squirrel. She wears a special pressurized suit to survive underwater. She lives in the tree dome which is a special underwater home that is filled with air and even has a tree which she lives in. When SpongeBob comes to visit her he has to have a water helmet over his head because he may dry out without it.

Plankton is a tiny, one celled creature who treats SpongeBob like a friend, while in reality is using him to steal the secret Krabby Patty formula. SpongeBob gets involved with Plankton because he believes people are basically good and can't see the devious side of Plankton. Fortunately, Mr. Krabs is always there to save the day.

Some people call SpongeBob a child and in many ways he is. But when the chips are down, SpongeBob will come through and save the day. Such as in the SpongeBob SquarePants movie. Plankton steals the crown belonging to King Neptune and frames Mr. Krabs. To save his boss from execution, SpongeBob finds the crown, facing life threatening dangers.

SpongeBob does get mad on occasion and if he does, you really don't want to be the one he is angry at. But be nice to him and you will have a friend for life - whether you want him or not!

Watching SpongeBob puts you in a happiness frame of mind. It makes you want to hug someone. If the entire world watched the show at the same time, it could bring about world peace.

Hip dysplasia is determined a hereditary condition. Veterinarians are regularly unable to diagnose the condition until the dog is older and the dysplasia has industrialized to the point that the dog is in pain. Dogs with dysplasia regularly whether limp on the sore leg, or are less active than usual.

There are surgical procedures ready to treat hip dysplasia. Still they are ordinarily regarded as the obsolete course since they are expensive and quite involved procedures.

Larger dogs especially do not ordinarily answer as well to the surgery; the scar tissue naturally cannot maintain the larger weight.

Therefore many large dog owners prefer treating their pets hip dysplasia in other ways.

Bread, Bread, Sweet Bread

In America, bread is a staple food in every house hold, for morning meal one might have French toast, for lunch one might eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and for evening meal one might have a bun on their hot dog or hamburger. In fact, if a meal does not comprise some form of bread, it somehow feels incomplete.

However, in this salutary obsessed culture of today, many diets want us to restrict the amount of breads we comprise in our diets. To get nearby this, use your daily bread "serving" as your desert for the day. I have three great bread recipes that are not only appetizing but fun to make:

Applesauce Pecan Bread

Applesauce pecan bread is as good as it sounds. You need two large eggs, applesauce, sugar, vegetable oil, milk (skim for healthier diets), cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder, salt, white flour, pecans, and mixed candied fruit. If you want to make it a fancier desert, use any kind of frosting or icing for the top. To make this bread you need to preheat your oven to 325F degrees. Take two mixing bowls, and in one stir in your eggs, apple sauce, sugar, and milk. In the other, mix your dry ingredients until they are well mixed. Mix both bowls of ingredients together, gently stirring in the nuts and fruits. Put into your loaf pan, and sprinkle any extra sugar, cinnamon and nuts on top. Only takes an hour to bake!

Aloha Bread

This fun bread combines the fun of Hawaii into its batter and the sweetness of maraschino cherries, bananas, macadamia and walnuts. This is a uncomplicated bread which uses just flour, baking soda, salt, butter, sugar, and eggs. Concentrate the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl and mash bananas in until fully mixed. Then stir in the cherries and nuts. To give it an extra fun twist, sprinkle brown sugar in your pan before baking it at 350F. Ordinarily it takes an hour to bake completely. Remember that because of the bananas this bread is very moist and can be easy to over bake.

Amish Poppy Seed Bread

You can use your popular basic bread recipe, just make sure to add in almond and butter flavor, as well as a tablespoon of poppy seeds. It is the glaze in this recipe that makes it a great dish. You need a quarter cup of orange juice, three fourths of a cup of sugar, vanilla, butter flavor, and butter flavor. Mix the ingredients like you would in any other bread, just make sure to pour the glaze on the bread when the bread is still hot out of the oven.
